"The axiom I use is "striving from a place of Peace" in that I first accept that not everything will be fair in general or to me personally, and then set aside the anxiety of the outcome and seek the best solution for all and being open to what others have to say.

I try to be aware of my reactions and what is behind them, and set then aside, and then try to understand the reactions of others before reacting back. A good book on emotional intelligence is "Change your Questions Change your Life", it's transformative.
