Content ProvidersDr. Vic Murray specializes in the study of voluntary sector organizations with particular emphasis on the areas of board governance, strategic planning, inter-organizational collaboration and the assessment of organizational effectiveness. He is the author of many books, articles and papers in the fields of organizational behaviour and nonprofit management. Recent publications include: The Management of Nonprofit and Charitable Organizations in Canada, 3rd ed (LexisNexis, 2014) and Guidelines for the Improving the Effectiveness of Boards of Directors on Nonprofit Organizations (Open SUNY textbooks, 2014). vmurray@uvic.ca Lisa Mort-Putland holds a Masters in Public Administration with a focus on non-profit management. Lisa became the Executive Director at Volunteer Victoria in 2011 and has worked with hundreds of non-profit societies specializing in board governance, board recruitment, and volunteer management. lisa@volunteervictoria.bc.ca Leanna Hill holds a Master’s in Leadership with a focus on youth engagement. As a volunteer management specialist Leanna teaches Developing your Non-Profit Leadership and Foundations in Volunteer Management for Volunteer Victoria and is a skilled curriculum developer and facilitator. Leanna@volunteervictoria.bc.ca Curriculum DesignBeth Cougler-Blom is a learning designer and facilitator. Beth holds a graduate degree in adult education and creates effective, participatory, outcomes-based learning opportunities.
