The History of Jam in Jubilee
Since 2010, a committee of young volunteers has directed Jam in Jubilee; first under the Atangard Community Project Society, and then under the Abbotsford Arts Council. Before that, the Abbotsford Downtown Business Association hosted the festival (then called “Jammin’ in Jubilee”).

The organizers of Jam in Jubilee believe that culture makes a place worth calling home. Over the years, they worked hard to bring a family friendly but culturally vital concert series to the people of Abbotsford. For the first time, Abbotsford families and youth had a legitimate, safe, and well organized festival experience that included youth-focused musicians and artists.

This totally new experience of culture in Abbotsford has become a beloved institution, drawing thousands of people to Jubilee Park over the course of each summer. Jam in Jubilee is one grassroots, youth-led answer to challenge of community building.
